Michelle (Lefebvre) Armstrong, 55, of Norwich Road, Plainfield died Saturday, September 3, 2011 at home following an exhausting battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Walter Armstrong. She was born August 9, 1956 in Putnam, daughter of the late Norman “Terry” and Marjorie (Sadoway) Lefebvre. Michelle attended Killingly Schools. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Westview Nursing Home prior to becoming a mother. Michelle was very active in the Gospel Light Christian Fellowship Church community. Besides her husband she leaves a son Christopher Whipple (USAF) and his wife Aubrey of Palmdale, CA; two step-sons, Russell Starr of Mansfield, CT; Christopher Armstrong of Norwich, CT; her siblings Renae Vandale of Sterling, CT, Norman Lefebvre of Dayville, CT; seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her step-son Brian Thurman. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Gospel Light Christian Fellowship Church, 132 Wauregan Road, (Route 12), Danielson, CT followed by a reception. There also will be a Memorial Mass, Monday, September 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 350 Hartford Pike, Dayville, CT.
