Additional Obit Info

Rosalie F. (Ojala) Marois, 65, of Brooklyn, CT, lost her battle with cancer on January 10, 2012. She was born March 14, 1946, in Putnam, daughter of the late Julia B. and Eino Ojala. Besides her husband Gerard L. Marois of Brooklyn, she leaves behind four children: Robert Marois of Manchester, Lisa Marois of Brooklyn, Marie Briere of Brooklyn, Michael Marois Etman of Norwich, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Marois was retired, but had previously worked at Danielson Curtain, Hale Manufacturing and Westview Health Care. She was an avid cook, baker and gardener but her greatest love was her daily involvement in the lives of her family. The family wishes to thank the nurses of the first floor at Day Kimball Hospital, as well as the nurses and staff of the Day Kimball Hospice and the Oncology Department. No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Day Kimball Hospice of NE CT, PO Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260 or the American Lung Association, 45 Ash Street, East Hartford, CT 06108.
