Obituary of Edward A. Bellerive

Edward A. Bellerive, Jr., 60 of Pearl Ave, Putnam, died Monday, June 8, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Plante) Bellerive, they were married April 26, 1969 at ST Mary Church. He was born July 4, 1948 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Edward and Avis (Reynolds) Bellerive. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the US Navy, known as a "River Rat". He made his home in Putnam most of his life; he was a hard worker, jack of all trades. Edward had a great love for his family especially spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed Country Western Music. He was a disabled Vietnam Veteran. Edward was very proud to serve in the US Military. He leaves his wife of 40 years, Linda, his children: Edward A. Bellerive, III and his wife Rosemary of Woodstock; Heidi Champany of Putnam; Kristina Bellerive of Putnam; his grandchildren: Jonathon Peterson of Woodstock; Caleb Champany of Pomfret; Alundra Hooper of Ballouville; his siblings: Malla Becker of FL; Nip Delke of Putnam; Daryll Craig of FL; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother: Kevin Reil. A Memorial Service will be Monday, June 15, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam with Military Honors to follow.
