"Wally" Brodeur posted a condolence
I graduated from Ellis Tech when Bill was 2 years old and I recall when his Dad put in his first day as one of my instructors there. I loved and learned much from this talented man and I am pleased that, by his accolades, his son followed in his footsteps.

I was very saddened to learn of the passing of Bill Simmons. He and his father, Bill Simmons Sr., were the most influential men for me, during my training at the Aviation Maintenance Department of Ellis Technical School. Because of Bill and his father, I am still enjoying a successful career in Aviation Maintenance.

My cousin Billy was a great man who not only knew how to get the most out of life, but did so with joy, kindness, and generosity. He lived life to the fullest and shared it with those around him. Our heartfelt condolences for Ruth, his kids, grandkids, his brother Eddie, and all who enjoyed life with him. As always, he is somewhere above us. He will be sorely missed. Bill was the Dept Head of Aviation Maintenance when I was Director of Ellis Tech. I was a pilot and will always remember and be thankful that I never had a serious problem in the air, because I know that Bill took great care of my plane. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

I'll never forget your help with my airplanes nor your favorite line, "the quickest way to a small fortune in aviation is to start with a big fortune". Bill did what he did, not only because it was his profession but also because of his passion for old fixing and restoring vintage aircraft. Bill you will be missed by all the Quiet Birdmen. Rest in Peace.

Dad
Not often enough do we meet someone with so much talent and ability to have an answer to a problem that no one else could solve. But we could always count on you. So keep on flying up high above so when the time is right and we feel a breeze we can say "oh that's only Dad guiding us in the right direction".
Love,Kim
