Alice T. Russell, 85 of Upper Maple Street, Dayville, CT, died Wednesday March 27, 2013 at the Westview Nursing Home in Dayville. She was born September 20, 1927 in Dayville, daughter of Napoleon and May (Mullen) Yates. She made her home in Dayville most of her life, a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Dayville. She was employed for over 32 years at William Prym in Dayville. Alice enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting, crocheting, reading and most of all caring for her children and grandchildren, she was loved by all. She leaves her children Fraun Russell of Dayville; Meri Kay Russell of Dayville; Lori Ann Andrews and her husband Frank of Rogers; Tom Russell and his wife Melina of Thompson; daughter-in-law Karen Russell of Woonsocket; grandchildren Shelby Stevenson; Mary Andrews; Krystyna Andrews; her great grandchildren Donovan and Shaelyn, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sons Dayle Russell in 2006 and Kyle Russell in 2012, her siblings Robert Yates; Frances Devillez; Loretta Gaudette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 350 Hartford Pike, Dayville, CT. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT. Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association, 306 Industrial Park Road, Suite 105, Middletown, CT 06457 or the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Ctr, Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3045.
