Obituary of Warner E. Gardner
Warner Gardner, 92, of Woodstock, died October 8, 2009 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. Husband of the late E. Eileen (Marcy) Gardner, they were married June 17, 1950, she died April 4, 2009. He was born September 3, 1917 in Ashford, son of the late Eugene and Fannie (Redhead) Gardner.
He made his home in Woodstock all of his life, he was a graduate of Woodstock Academy, Class of 1937. He operated a dairy and fruit farm in Woodstock for many years.
He leaves two sisters-in-law: Hazel Froehlich of Woodstock; Muriel Sandness of Woodstock and their families.
Calling Hours will be Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. A Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the Church Of The Good Shepherd, 12 Bradford Corner Rd, West Woodstock. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Southbridge, MA.
