I was Sandy's teacher at the then Woodstock Junior High. She was a special gal. I shall never forget our playing golf at Roseland as a hurricane approached. I was so delighted that she chose the teaching profession and made a difference in so many lives. Please accept my sympathy and prayers.

Sandy and I started our teaching next door to each other at the, then, Thompson Elementary School. We had many laughs and fun as we "earned" while we "learned. She will be missed. Ruth

Sandy and I were high school friends at Putnam Catholic Academy. It was my fortune to consider her my best friend. We had wonderful funfilled times, adventures and shared our future hopes and dreams together. She fulfilled her dream as a wonderful teacher who could make a difference. My sympathy and prayers are with her brother and his family as well as her friends and community. suellen

Sandra Johnson was my teacher in third grade at Mary Fisher Elementary School of Thompson. This would have been 1970-71. She was very kind and remembered me through my school years before I left the area for college and made my way into the world, settling in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. My classmates then were Sandi Asal, Janice Sheldon, Tommy LaJoie and Sandy DeFillipo. My brother Joel had her the following year. We often reminisced of being in her class and we are saddened by her loss. She was an excellent teacher who helped shape many lives. I'm certain she is smiling down on all of us.

I worked with Sandy for many years. She was more than a superb teacher. Her students adored her, year after year. Her classroom was a welcoming home each day to those students and she continued to follow their progress through the years. Sandy enjoyed sharing her jokes with us and I'll never forget her laugh.

I taught with Sandy for many years at Mary Fisher Elementary. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. I remember her long blond hair, worn in her signature "bun". She loved to teach her class about homonyms! She had a long list of these words around her classroom every year. Rest in Peace, Sandy.

Rich and family: You are in my thoughts and prayers today. I saw Sandi just a month ago after we had spoken. She had a smile on her face. May peace come to your heart knowing that she is at rest.

Sandy was "Miss Johnson" when I was in third grade, then "Sandy" as we taught across the hall from one another for 20+ years. I am saddened by her passing but will remember her fondly as both a mentor and a collegue.
