Obituary of Lewis J. Swagger
Lewis Joseph Swagger, Jr., 56, of Pomfret Road, Brooklyn, CT, died Saturday evening as a result of an automobile accident. He was the beloved husband of Margaret (Richards) Swagger, they were married August 17, 1975. He was born December 23, 1952 in Providence, RI, son of Lewis J. and Rose Assunta (Vendetti) Swagger, Sr.
He was an Engineering Technician working at Intel Corporation in Hudson, MA for over 25 years. He was a seasoned musician playing the Electric Bass; he enjoyed playing out with his band "Storm" in the Worcester area for several years. He was a communicant of ST James Church, Our Lady of La Salette and St Anne's Church. He had made his home in Brooklyn for over 10 years, formerly of Glocester, RI. He had a great passion for the restoration of antiques and his old farmhouse in Brooklyn. His band "Storm" consisting of longtime co-workers at Intel Corp., competed and won a recent plant division contest; traveling to Oregon to compete in the finals. He had a great love of nature and the White Mountains of New Hampshire, which drew him and his family to celebrate the 4th of July at their vacation home each summer in Warren, NH.
He leaves his wife Margaret, his children: Adam L. Swagger of Manchester, CT; Rebecca R. Swagger of Providence, RI; Seth L. (Tara) Swagger of Danielson; Tristan M. (Jason) Mioduszewski of Brooklyn, CT; Ashley I.(Pablo) Ladero of Brooklyn, CT; Nathan L. (Nicole) Swagger of Leominster, MA; Alexander L. Swagger of Brooklyn; Elizabeth S. Swagger of Brooklyn, CT; his siblings: Mark Swagger of Providence, RI; Laetitia A. Swagger of Cheyenne, WY; a grandson: Christian P. Ladero of Brooklyn, his golden retriever, Jack.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, December 29th at 10:00 AM from the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at ST James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT. Calling hours Monday, December 28, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Spring Burial in Village Cemetery, Warren, NH.
