I feel blessed to be able to call Bob my friend. He lived life on his own terms with a tremendous generosity of soul.
The dog training community seemed to be the thread through his life but it was his spirit of kindness that gave the thread its strengh. May you be at peace my friend when you cross the Rainbow Bridge with all your four legged pals.

Dear Pat & extended family,
Our thoughts and prays are with you. We have all lost a dear friend and our sport has a tremendous void. Bob was not only an avid competitor and trainer, he was a friend, a mentor, a student of the dogs and the sport as well as one of the hardest workers around. We could always count on Bob for words of encouragement and support in an often difficult and challenging sport. We will always miss you and love you.

Bob's gone, wow. He was someone in my mind that would always be there. We hadn't talked much lately but I read every issue of the RFTN looking for Bob and the dogs. He taught me so much about dogs and life, always had a kind word and made time for others. Breeding my Rose to Drummer was a great decision as not only were the pups wonderful, but it brought us close together. Rest in peace my friend and may all the birds be flyers and all the dogs champions. Give Drummer Rosie and JR a Hug from Joe and I. Sue

Bob helped me through the first time I stewarded for a Field Trial. He was my Field Trial buddy when he Marshalled and I stewarded such a gentleman you will never find. We met once or twice a year at Westchester Field Trials, I will truly miss his gentlemanly ways and support he always gave me. I smile you can never forget.

Pat,
My condolences to you and your family for the loss of a wonderful man. Bob intimidated me at first. He sometimes talked so loud that I thought he was angery with me. I quickly realized that he was a wee bit hard of hearing so, it was nothing personal, that's just how he spoke. I rememeber competing in Florida for the first time and seeing Bob as the stake marshall. His personal acknowledgment of me immediately put me at ease in a strange environment. He did that often. It won't be the same without him.

Bob was the very special friend of my husband, Whit.
Whit and Bob go back 20+ years. Their love of dogs and training their dogs brought them together. This past year when it was clear that my Whit was being affected by the cancer, Bob stepped in as a dear friend and took Whit to trials with him. He also took him to New York State to train the dogs with other training friends. I will never forget his kindness.
Memories of the times Bob & Pat and Whit & I spent together are precious.
My heart and my love go out to Pat and to Bob's family.
I loved him dearly.

Bob was so kind to me when I was just beginning field trial training with my Golden. I camped next door to his trailer in Florida and while I was totally embarrassed, he helped me empty my near overflowing waste tank!
So sad, and such a shame to lose him so young.

When my grandpa passed away I was 11. I didn't understand too much of what was going on. Looking back on it, I truly appreciate every moment spent with him. He was inspiring, kind, and loving to every soul he encountered. I miss him still 4 years later. He will always be in my heart and mind.
