Obituary of Dennis L. Moore

Dennis L. Moore, 68, of Taft Street, Danielson, CT, died Friday, April 23, 2010 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. He was the beloved husband Constance (Couture) Moore, they were married August 31, 1963 at St. James Church. He was born November 5, 1941 in Kane, PA, son of the late Edwin and Hazel Victoria (Gustafson) Moore.

He worked at Anchor Glass and Glass Container in Dayville, he retired after 37 1/2 years as Production Supervisor. After retiring he worked part time for Premiere Chevrolet in Brooklyn. Dennis was an active member for 47 years, of the Danielson Lodge of Elks BPOE 1706, he was a former officer and served on many committees. He was honored by the Lodge in 1977-1978 as "Elk of the Year". An avid UCONN Women's Basketball Fan, and also of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Dennis was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed working in his yard, and had a great love for the outdoors. He leaves his wife Constance, his children Greg Moore and his wife Elizabeth of Mashpee, MA; Denise Fleming and her husband Rick of Preston, CT; his sister Barbara Mortimer and her husband James of Danielson; his four grandchildren: Morgan Fleming, Christopher Fleming, Jaron Moore, Justyn Moore. He was predeceased by his brother Gerald Moore.

Calling Hours will be Tuesday, April 27, 2010 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson, CT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, or American Diabetes Association.
