Obituary of Phyllis Aldora Craw

Phyllis Aldora Craw, 85 formerly of Thompson, CT, passed peacefully June 2, 1010 after a long illness and is with her Lord and Savior. She was the wife of the late Walter Edison Craw, they were married December 12, 1943, he passed away October 22, 2004. She was born October 1, 1924 in Assam, India, the daughter of medical missionaries J. Riley and Anna Mary (McClure) Bailey. She was a long time active member of the Putnam United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Phyllis had made her home in Thompson for many years, involved with the Thompson PTA, was the Unit Chairman for the town of Thompson with the Salvation Army; She was a member of the Thompson Historical Society and was honored by the Thompson Lions Club as "Woman of the Year". She leaves her children Peter Craw and his wife Pat of Barrington, NH; Beverly Warner and her husband Bill of Thompson; Betsy Kaiser and her husband Joe of Hopkinton, MA; a sister Barbara Crookshank of Royal Oak, Michigan, four grandchildren: Nolan Craw of Los Angeles, CA; Curtis Warner and his wife Susan of Leicester, MA; Austin Warner of Thompson; Ashley Kaiser of Hopkinton, MA; several nieces and nephews including her special niece Barbara Austin and her husband Jim of Willington. She was predeceased by a son, David Craw December 16, 2006. A Memorial Service will be June 7, 2010 in the Putnam United Methodist Church, Putnam, CT. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
