Obituary of George N. Pedersen

North Grosvenordale- George N. Pedersen, 63, of Juliette Avenue in North Grosvenordale died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Day Kimball Hospital. George was the beloved husband of Judy (Ballou) Pedersen, they were married October 17, 1964. He was born October 5, 1946 in Putnam, son of the late Richard and Verna (Steere) Pedersen. George worked as a Boiler Maker for 35 years, retiring in 2002.

George is survived by his wife Judy, daughters: Kristine Blanchard and her husband James of Thompson, Melissa Harmon and her husband Shawn of Putnam, son: Erin Pedersen of Thompson, sisters: Harriete Montie of Dayville, Janice Dufresne and her husband Edward of Chepachet, RI, Kathy Pedersen of Canterbury, grandchildren: Samantha, Brandon, Matthew, Chandler, Austin and Avery, a great granddaughter: Sage and several nieces and nephews, and many friends. George was predeceased by his son, Eric Pedersen and his brother, Richard H. Pedersen, Jr.

The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT. Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 21, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial in Munyan Cemetery, Munyan Road, Putnam, CT.
