Obituary of Joseph E. Thomas
Joseph E. Thomas, 69, of Brooklyn died, Monday, August 20, 2012 at UMASS Memorial Hospital. Joseph was the beloved husband of Theresa Thomas. He was born August 9, 1943 in Norwich. Son of the late Claudio and Cathrine (Keough) Gabriel. Joseph was a member of the American Legion in Norwich and really enjoyed gardening and playing with his grandchildren. He had a great love for the American Flag.
He leaves his dear wife of 25 years Theresa Thomas, son Richard O'Brien and his wife Paula, daughter Tracy Barks O'Brien, stepson Norman Tetreault and his wife Denise, stepdaughters Norma Jean Roberts and her husband Dennis, Cindy Belfi and her husband Michael, Kathy Rizer and her husband Butch, brothers William Edward and his wife Gail, James Edwards and his wife Mona, sister Margeret Rudker, a special brother Robert and his wife Linda and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Kathrine and brother Paul.
Funeral service will be Saturday at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson at 6:00 PM. A calling hour will start at 5:00 PM. To share a memory with the family "Light a Candle" at www.gagnonandcostellofh.com
