Obituary of Donald M. Meunier

Donald M. Meunier, 94, of Framingham, MA, formerly of Danielson, CT, died on January 18, 2011 in Framingham. He was born on July 4, 1916 in Danielson, son of the late Melora (Guertin) and Severien M. Meunier. He attended local schools and joined the US Navy in 1936, serving as a Chief Warrant officer and Physician's assistant. He was honorably discharged in 1964. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Evans, a US Army nurse, who predeceased him on November 25, 2004. Donald is survived by his sister, Lucille D. Carroll of Plainfield, CT and Barbara Huff and her husband Leroy of Colorado Springs, CO, Barbara was a niece who was raised by Don and Liz and was like a daughter to them. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his brothers, Roland Meunier, Aldor Meunier, Noel Meunier, Norman Meunier and his sister Adrienne Poirier. Donald's family world like to thank his caregivers for their care and dedication. The funeral will be Monday at 10:30 AM from the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St. Danielson, CT, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT. A Calling hour will be Monday from 10:00 to 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors in Holy Cross Cemetery.
