Obituary of David R. St. Jean

Woodstock - David Robert St. Jean, 62, of Quasset Road, Woodstock died unexpectedly Saturday, August 25, 2012. Beloved husband of Mary Ann (Briotti) St. Jean, they were married October 23, 1973. He was born March 5, 1950 in Putnam, son of the late Edgar and Helen (Clark) St. Jean. He attended St. Mary School, Woodstock Elementary and Woodstock Academy all before graduating from Ellis Technical School. David was a Veteran of Vietnam serving with the US Navy. He was a Communicant of Most Holy Trinity Church in Pomfret, where he was a Eucharistic Minister. David loved all sports including a new love of golf in recent years. He loved spending time on Quasset Lake, waterskiing, going for boat rides and spending time with family and friends. David is survived by his wife Mary Ann St. Jean, daughter Deborah (St. Jean) Roux and her husband Michael of New Hampshire, son David St. Jean of Huntington Beach, CA, grandson Joshua Roux, granddaughter Rileigh Roux, sister Pauline Stiles, brothers Edgar St. Jean and his wife Susie, Ernie St. Jean and his wife Peggy, John St. Jean and his wife Janine, Larry St. Jean and his wife Gail, many nieces, nephews and close friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 30 at 10:00 AM at the Most Holy Trinity Church, 568 Pomfret Street, Pomfret, CT. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury, CT with Military Honors. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in David's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or The Salvation Army, 855 Asylum Avenue, Hartford, CT 06142.
