Danielson - June L. (Desrochers) (Dumas) Riley,77, of Westfield Avenue, Danielson, died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Michael Riley, they were married in 2006. She was born April 16, 1933 in Ballouville, daughter of the late Delphis and Leah (Rowe) Dumas. June worked as a secretary at United Services for 27 years, and for the Superintendent of Killingly Public Schools. She was an avid bowler winning two State Championships. She was an avid bird watcher and loved her time spent at the beach. June was a Loving Sister, and had many friends. Besides her husband Michael she leaves three children: Karen Desrochers of Austin, TX, Susan DiBiasio and her husband Mark of New Hartford and Charles Desrochers of Danielson, six grandchildren, two step-children, siblings: Delphis Dumas, Jr. of Vernon, Jimmy Dumas of NC, Joan Couture of Danielson, Janet Girard of Dayville and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Jeanne Freney. Funeral Service will be Monday, March 28, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT. Calling Hours will be Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of NE CT, PO Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260.
