Obituary of Joan M. Soucy
Joan M. Soucy, 64, of Robert Street, Brooklyn, CT, died Friday, March 25, 2011 at the Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, MA. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Marie (Chabot) Soucy. Joan was born in Danielson on September 13, 1946 and was a communicant of St. James Church in Danielson.
Her last employment was at Foxwoods, working in housekeeping for eight years; she had also worked at Danielson Curtain Company for 23 years. Joan was an avid collector of things; she enjoyed watching wrestling and caring for her cats. She leaves a brother Armand Soucy of Brooklyn, a sister Doris Soucy of Brooklyn, several cousins including Barbara Bousquet of Brooklyn. She was predeceased by her brother Alfred Soucy in 1969.
A Chapel Service will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery, Maple Street, Danielson. Donations may be made in her name to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, PO Box 78960, Phoenix, AZ 85062. To share a memory "Light a Candle" at gagnonandcostellofh.com
