Obituary of James V. McKay
James V. McKay, 75, of Fabyan Woodstock Road, died April 2, 2011 at Day Kimball Hospital. Beloved husband of Lucille (Lacoste) McKay, they were married August 28, 1958. Born July 11, 1935 in Putnam, son of the late Joseph G. and Roseanna (Dionne) McKay.
James worked as a welder for General Motors for 32 years retiring as a supervisor. He served in the Marines during the Korean War. James loved to ride his Motorcycles and Hunt. He had taught his children to ride motorcycles at five years old. He loved his woodworking and art work.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Karen Desjardins of Plainfield, two brothers, Sam McKay of Vancouver, WA, and Carter McKay of Akron, NY, two sisters, Rosemary Simonds of Charlton, MA, and Ellen Keene of Smithfield, RI, two grand children, Rebecca Desjardins and Kevin McKay. He was predeceased by a daughter Cindy McKay.
