Obituary of Armand Edward Guimont, Sr

June 9, 1940-April 21, 2011 Armand Edward Guimont, Sr., 70 years old, of Hartford Pike, Dayville, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 21, 2011 with his children at his bedside. Armand was the son of the late Ovide and Lena (Gamelin) Guimont. He attended Saint James School and then began work as an apprentice carpenter with his father. He joined the Army in 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1965. He was proud to have served his country. He married Marjorie (Margie) Lagace on August 7, 1965 and had always missed her after she pre-deceased him on July 4, 1977. Armand worked at Crystal Water Company for many years until he decided to go back to carpentry work. Armand worked with the utmost integrity, pride and passion. Armand loved to be productive and loved his work. After a productive day he would say, "That's a good thing done". Armand's father instilled impeccable work ethic, conscientiousness and perfection, which he applied throughout his entire life. "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing well". Armand was a very genuine man. Armand's genuine ways can be defined through what he valued; anything natural. Armand thought the simplest things were the truest and he lived this kind of sincere life. He leaves daughter, Lynn Liebscher and a son-in-law, Lawrence Liebscher, a son, Armand E. Guimont Jr., four grandsons, Curtis, Ryan, Kyle and Thomas Liebscher, a sister, Arlene Renaud and her late husband Maurice Renaud, three brothers, Richard Guimont and his wife Lillian, Norman Guimont and his wife Celeste, Ronald Guimont and his wife Georgia, a brother-in-law, Francis Lagace and his wife Marylin, and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
