Dayville-Pauline M. Nichols, 92, of Otis Street, died Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Regency Heights in Danielson. Beloved wife of George A. Nichols, Sr. He died September 12, 1976. They were married July 3, 1937 in St. James Church, Danielson by Rev. Leo Martel. She was born October 13, 1918 in East Brooklyn, CT, daughter of the late Eugene and Roseanna (Renaud) DeVillez. Pauline worked at William Prym for 38 years, retiring June 29, 1984. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Dayville. She leaves three sons: George A. Nichols, Jr. of Pike, NH, Eugene Nichols of Lawrenceville, GA Ernest Nichols of Brooklyn, seven sisters: sisters Dora Petecki, Mary Dickson, Florina Weaver, Theresa Davis, Lorraine Collins, Nancy Bernier, Claire Sabourin, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings Leon DeVillez, Eugene DeVillez, Theodore DeVillez, Ida Blair, Alice LaFontaine and a grandson Christopher Nichols. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 16, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 350 Hartford Pike, Dayville, CT. No Calling Hours. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to St. Joseph Church, PO Box 487, Dayville, CT 06241.
