Obituary of Joyce Helene Moody

Joyce Helene Moody, 80, of N. Grosvenordale, died peacefully in her home Friday, May 13, 2011, surrounded by family following a brief illness. She joins her late husband, Robert Moody and Grand Daughter Elizabeth Hart. She is survived by children Taffy Hart of Bristol, CT, Roger Hart, Jr. of Putnam, CT, Lori Syriac of Swannanoa, NC and Patty Trudeau of N. Grosvenordale, CT, 13 Grandchildren, and 11 Great Grandchildren. Born June 23, 1930 in Turn of the River, CT, Joyce was the daughter of a carpenter and the only girl among five siblings. A loving mother of four and devout Christian, Joyce dedicated much of her free time to The United Methodist Church of Putnam. Her skill and dexterity allowed her to excel in her profession of Cake Decorating and her sewing passion, along with being an award winning bowler. Joyce carried her loving nature into Grand Parenthood and spent an increasingly amount of time with her ever growing family of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
