I had the pleasure of meeting and playing golf with Paul during my early years as a member at Quinnatisset. I will always remember his kindness and his genuine interest he expressed to his fellow man. Paul always had a friendly smile and kind word for everyone. I am fortunate to have met and known Paul.
God bless him and his family in this difficult time. You are in my prayers as I write this note. Godspeed, Paul.

Dear Etchells family,
Your father was kind and thoughtful to my father, Elmer M. White. There was a group of men who would gather in the mornings in Putnam for tea and coffee - in the 1980' - your father and mine were part of the group. And I know that Paul hosted a very special birthday party for my father when he turned 90 in June 1990. That meant a lot to my Dad and us too. Clearly Paul was a great example of that great generation.
Best Regards,
Sally White
