barbara Jurgens posted a condolence
I'm an RN who worked with Barbara at Horton Hospital I was just thinking of her this morning morning and decided to look up her maiden name to see if I could locate her. I'm so sorry for your loss and wish that I had kept in touch as we were close friends back in Middletown. I did see her again when I moved to Ca. in 1974 and visited her at the base. We kept in touch by writing for a brief time, but lost track of each other as time went by. Please accept my condolences, I will remember her in my thoughts and prayers.

My deepest sympathy to Liz, Jason, Tamara and family. Barbara was one of the first ladies I met on Amelia Island. She was the perfect Ambassador for the area showing me around, where to shop, restaurants, etc. She is now in the best place with Jon-- no longer suffering in pain. God bless!

I worked with Barbara at Matulaitis Nursing Home. I thought she was the most interesting person that I had met in a long time. Her sense of humor and her ability to care for the residents was amazing. I know that she will be missed by all her family and friends. I wish for her peace in her new life.

Barbara, I'll miss you so much. You and I were birthday buddies and began our nursing careers at Yale NH Hosp. What fun we had. You were always a good friend with a ready laugh. We enjoyed our beach days living at Westbrook beach. You became a "world traveler" and I always envied your adventures.
Our prayers are with Barbara's family.

I was so sorry to have read of Barbara's death. I remember Barbara, Linda Knapp and I walking for miles on the back roads of Slate Hill; playing with the "pot-licker,"- and now that I live in Liberty- I can't pass Wanasink Lake without remembering the fun times we had there. It does not suprise me to read that Barbara had such a compassionate heart! My condolences to all of you- Denise Schneider Patti

I remember Barb's laugh and boundless energy when we worked together at Malcolm Grow USAF Medical Center. She was a gifted nurse and educator. Prayers for her family as you grieve your loss.
