Obituary of Caroline Long
Caroline Long, 66, of Putnam, died Friday, November 4, 2011 at Regency Heights Nursing Home in Danielson. She was the daughter of the late Calvin and Alice (Strickland) Long. She was born in Putnam, CT on August 13, 1945. She was married in 1961 to the love of her life, Gerard Morin. He died in 1978 in a car accident. She was employed by Acme Cotton and also worked in healthcare in the area. She loved to dance and loved having fun. She was a very loyal Conway Twitty fan and loved playing games. She leaves behind a son Joshua James of Putnam, her brothers Clayton Long of Plainfield, Herbert Long of Putnam, her sisters Clara Sylvia of Dayville, Martha Kemp of North Woodstock, Alice Mailloux of Plainfield, Dorothy Benoit of East Killingly and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Gerard Morin, her parents and a brother George Long. A Graveside Service, Tuesday November 8th at 10:00 AM in the West Thompson Cemetery, Route 12, Thompson. Donations may be made in her memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 705 North Mountain Road, Newington, CT 06111. Arrangements by Smith and Walker Funeral Home.
