Josephine M. Lamoureux, 93, of Liberty Highway, Putnam died November 29, 2011 at Day Kimball Hospital. Wife of the late Hector Lamoureux; they were married June 24, 1939 in Putnam, he died March 13, 1990. She was born in Manville, RI, April 18, 1918, daughter of the late Ferdinand and Mary (Pierz) Godek. Josephine attended the former Smith Street Schools. She worked for Powdrell & Alexander, Beldings and Acme. She enjoyed feeding birds, traveling, crafts, sewing and knitting. She was a very caring individual and had a great love for her family. Josephine was proud of the house she had built with her husband and over the years made it a loving home. Survived by her daughter Joan Taylor of Palm Coast, FL, grandchildren Daniel Gardner, Celeste Lussier and her husband Daniel, Dale Gardner and his wife Susan, Celina Burnett and Kathleen Taylor Powers, great grandchildren Matthew, Jocelyn, Victoria, Erica, Craig, Katherine, Zachary, Daniel, Joshua and Brian, great-great grandchildren Abigail, Wyatt, Madison, Wesley and Audrey, a brother Walter, a sister Veronica and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Florence, Elizabeth, Helen, Victoria and Francis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Today, December 1, 2011 at 9:00 AM in St Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam, CT, burial in St Mary Cemetery.
