Obituary of Roger F. Cote, Sr.
Roger F. Cote, Sr., of Primrose Crossing, Dayville, died Friday December 9, 2011 at his home. He was born June 16, 1947 in Providence, RI, son of the late Frederick LeBlanc and Palma Cote.
Roger has made his home in the area since 1976, moving from Coventry, RI. He was employed for 20 years at Acme Cotton as a maintenance mechanic. He also worked for many years as a carpenter. His last employment was working at Danny's Auction in Foster, RI. He served in the US Army. Roger was an active member of the Tri-State Cruisers, involved with the Windham County 4-H and a past member of the Highland Grange.
He leaves his son Roger F. Cote, Jr., of Taconic, CT, and also his former wife Lorraine Cote of Dayville.
The funeral will be Friday at 10:00 AM from the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson. Calling Hours Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Tri State Cruisers, c/o Dick Salvas, 527 Church Street, Putnam, CT 06260.
