Obituary of Viola Trudeau
Viola Trudeau, 97, formerly of Aldrich Road, Putnam, died Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Day Kimball Hospital. She was the wife of the late Normand Trudeau, he died in 1994. She was born February 12, 1914 in Pomfret, CT, daughter of Samuel and Anastasia "Nettie" (LaRose)
Columbia.
She had made her home in Putnam most of her life, she enjoyed crocheting, and working with her husband in their greenhouses. Viola and her husband owned and operated National Chromium.
She is survived by her brother Richard Columbia of Putnam; several nieces and nephews including Richard Columbia of Putnam. Viola was predeceased by her sisters, Agnes Columbia, Sonia Columbia; brothers, Raymond, Daniel, Edgar, Albert and Robert.
A graveside service will be in St Mary Cemetery, Putnam in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Day Kimball Hospital, PO Box 632, Putnam, CT. To share a memory "Light a Candle" at www.smithandwalkerfh.com
