George had been my neighbor and more importantly my friend for over 20 years. He was always available whenever I asked for help and even sometimes when I didn't even know I needed help. For instance when I thought I knew how to build a stonewall and struggled with it for a couple of hours and getting nowhere, George came over and started talking to me and working on the wall and 45 minutes later it was about one-third of the way done. After three days it was completed. I always remembered that whenever I looked at that wall, and now when I look at I will consider it a memorial for my friend George. I will miss him.

I'll always remember growing up visiting you and your family. We always had so much fun in Ashford at the beach and hanging out at your house. You were such a great friend to my dad. I'll remember your laugh. You made people smile!
