Rev. Susan Knight posted a condolence
Dear Mrs. Evelyn Collins was one of my residents at Pilgrim Manor. She was such a deep person of faith, inspiring all those around her. She faithfully came to prayer group until she no longer was able. The most remarkable thing about Evelyn is that she was not bitter or angry about her blindness as a young mother, but simply trusted in God to see her through each day, and He did. My last words to her were, "I will see you in heaven>" She responded, "Then I will be able to see." Praise God from Whom all blessings flow. God's blessings to her family. Susan Knight

Norman, Priscilla, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Your mother was admired by all who knew her, and will be missed ...until you're all reunited. God be with you.

Scott and I visited Evelyn and Sig at their home when we came to visit Woodstock family. Evelyn was such an inspiration! Cheerful and with lots of projects on the go. She shared her memories with us, which were so important to me since she was the last of my father's cousins. My dad was Wally Child, born in Woodstock. I wish I could be at the service but we live in Calgary Canada. We'll be thinking of Evelyn, Priscilla and the rest of her family.
