Obituary of Loretta W. Sheldon

Loretta W. (Aubin) Sheldon, 76 of N. Grosvenordale, CT went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. She was born March 13, 1935 in Putnam, daughter of the late Polidore and Marion (Bateman) Aubin. She raised her family and spent her life in the Putnam area. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, cooking and getting together with family. She was a sweet, loving, caring and gentle person. Loretta was employed for over 25 years at Belding Corticelli in Putnam and was the President of the Employee Association in 1977 & 1978. She was also employed by McDonald's in Putnam for over 10 years where she received many pins for outstanding work ethics. She was a member of the Southbridge Full Gospel Center, Southbridge, MA. She leaves her husband of almost 56 years, Ellsworth (Bob) Sheldon, and her children; Richard W. Sheldon of Midlothian, VA; Robert E. Sheldon and his wife Roxanne of Putnam, CT; Laura L. Dobyns and her husband Gordan of Aylett, VA; Karen G. Cutrone and her husband Craig of Aylett, VA; and Timothy G. Sheldon and his wife Lori of Corinth, ME; a sister, Priscilla Combies of Moosup. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers; Franklin, Theodore, and Thomas Aubin, and one sister, Elizabeth Martel. There are no calling hours in honor of Loretta's request and a private burial will be held at Quassett Cemetery in Woodstock. Donations may be made in her memory to K's Ambulance Service, P. O.
