Obituary of Mary Kaczor
Mary Kaczor, 101, of Danielson, formerly of Rogers, died peacefully Friday at the Pierce Memorial Baptist Home in Brooklyn. On July 4, 1932, she married John Kaczor; he predeceased her in September 14, 1996. She was born January 9, 1911 in East Hampton, MA, daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Stryharz) Poprawa.
She attended St. Mary's School in Putnam, her family moved to Goodyear where she went to Goodyear School. Mary worked in the Goodyear Mills; she loved playing cards and enjoyed many crafts. She was an avid fan of UConn basketball. Mary was a member of the Quinebaug Valley Senior Citizens of Brooklyn, Williamsville Fire Engine Company Auxiliary of Rogers, a member of the Goodyear P.T.A. and a member of the St. Ignatius Rosary Society of Rogers. She was a communicant of St. Ignatius Church in Rogers and St. Anne Church in Ballouville.
She is survived her daughter Dorothy Hebert of Rogers; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; twin great great-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons Carl Kaczor; John Kaczor and Edward Kaczor; her sisters Stella Magnan; Anna Diani and her brother Frank Poprawa.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Church, 350 Hartford Pike, Dayville, followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson.
