Obituary of Irene Loretta Clark

Irene Loretta (Emond) Clark, 97, of Putnam, CT, died Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Edeo Clark, Sr., they were married in St Mary Church on November 28, 1935, Thanksgiving Day. He died August 22, 2005. She was born April 20, 1917 in Sorel, P.Q. Canada, daughter of Aime and Flore (Tucker) Emond. At the age of ten she came to New Hampshire with her family, and in 1931 when she was 14 she moved with her family and settled in Putnam. She enjoyed going to Bingo, playing cards, puzzles, picking apples, strawberries, and blueberries. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, and will be missed. She leaves her children Naomi Regis and her husband Richard of Brooklyn; Edeo Clark, Jr. of Putnam; Carol Regis and her husband Raymond of Dayville; Gerald Clark and his wife Joyce of Pomfret Center; James Clark, Sr. and his wife Daryle of Woodstock; 11 grandchildren Robin, Rhonda, Rick, Michael, Todd; Karen; Kevin; Lisa; Dwain, Jr; James, Jr.; Andrea; 10 great grandchildren, three great great granddaughters, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son Dwain Clark, Sr.; great granddaughter Sarah Beth Lussier; her sisters Flora Frechette and Simone Fuller. Her family would like to thank the staff of Westview Nursing Home in Dayville for their care and compassion. Funeral services are private and burial at the convenience of the family.
