Obituary of James D. Simonis

James David Simonis, “Jimmy”, 29, of Danielson, CT died unexpectedly, Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at his home. He was born April 6, 1985 in Torrington, CT, son of Sheila Casey and David Simonis. Jimmy was a graduate of H. H. Ellis Technical High School in Killingly, CT, were he studied the Masonry Trade. He lived in Killingly most of his life. He was always a kind and generous person, with many friends. He enjoyed helping others and loved children. He was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft workers Local 1 CT. Most recently working for Acranom Masonry, in Middletown, CT. Jimmy spent most weekends working with friends and co-workers on small projects, fixing cars and repairing chimneys. He was quick to lend a hand to a friend in need. He leaves his mother Sheila Casey of Lancaster, MA, father David Simonis of Spencer, MA, grandmother Elaine McShane, sister Jacqueline Simonis of Groton, CT, brothers Jeffrey Simonis of North Brookfield, MA, and Joseph Simonis of St. Louis, MO. Calling hours will be Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT.
