Obituary of Helen Giebultowski

DANIELSON - Helen Giebultowski, 91, of Danielson, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at Davis Place in Danielson. She was born August 18, 1923 in Gorlice, Poland, daughter of the late John and Bertha (Sossel) Szufnara. She was the wife of Mathew Giebultowski, they were married on February 13, 1945, he died March 26, 1989. Helen was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Dayville, CT, a member of Local #31 of GBBA and the United Garment Workers Association. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with family. She retired in 1985 from the Anchor Glass Container in Dayville, CT. She leaves her two sons, Roman B. Giebultowski of Brooklyn, CT, Bruno A. Giebultowski of La Mesa, CA two sisters, June Sossel of Passaic, NJ and Irene Grandelski of Gorlice, Poland, her three grandchildren, Krystyna Giebultowski, Tiana Paulidis and her husband John, Elizabeth Giebultowski, a great granddaughter Sophia and several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her husband Mathew and a brother Walter Sossel. Calling Hours are Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 9:15 to 10:15 AM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds St. Danielson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Church, 350 Hartford Pike, Dayville, CT. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Dayville.
