I was incredibly sad to hear about the passing of Aunti Jean. My mother, Marion, would share wonderful stories of growing up with seven brothers and sisters with Jean at the helm, always loving and supportive of her younger siblings. I can only imagine how difficult it was to keep my "clown" of a Mom in check! I have fond memories of Aunt Jean as a little girl and eating strawberries at the fruit stand. I can find comfort in knowing that she is with her beloved family.
with love,
Barbara

What a wonderful person, aunt and lady she was. I will miss her conversations and laughter. I am truly blessed to have had her as my aunt. I have fond memories of visiting CT seeing Aunt Jean, Uncle David, and my funny cousins the twins. Rest in peace.

I'm sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Fairfield. She was a great teacher in the elementary school when I was in first grade. She was a lovely woman and great teacher. Woodstock was blessed to have her and I feel very fortunate to be one of the little girls that was able to be affected by her influence. God Bless You Mrs. Fairfield

My Aunt Jean was a wonderful human being and I always looked up to her. She was the main reason I became and educator myself. When I was young child I always looked forward to visiting her and my uncle David, they were always so kind to us. I will always cherish our phone conversations and the positive impact she made on my life. She will be dearly missed. It gives me comfort that she is with her boys and siblings in heaven.

Aunt Jean was greatly treasured by her family and friends. She was generous, kind, ladylike, gracious, and was a sharp wit. She will be missed by all.
As the only other mother to twin boys in our entire family, I felt she and I always had a special connection. She knew my joy... and frustration :)
I'm happy to know that now she is reunited with her husband and her sons, her body restored and her pain lifted. She has reached eternal peace.
Rest in peace Auntie -- we love you!

My thoughts and prayers go out to Mrs, Fiarfields family. She was my first grade teacher and a good teacher at that. She was a wonderful lady

What a wonderful lady. I knew Jeannie all my life, my mother babysat the twins before they were in school, my father and Dave, her husband, along with Bob Joy built a fruit stand that was later to become Sweet Evelinas.
My brothers were students in her early years of teaching, my son was in her last class before she retired.
She was much loved by students and parents alike. The love she instilled of reading is the thing I remember most about Jeannie. My son still talks of the books she discussed with him, some years after he was out of school.
Jeannie was a Lady. She was respected and loved and I hope she realized how much of an impact she had on so many many lives.
I think she was a born teacher, a teacher who was gentle and sweet, who seemed to love her students almost as much as they loved her.
She will be missed by all of those whose lives she touched.
