Obituary of Celia M. Lisee

Celia M. Lisee, 91, of Dayville passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Pierce Memorial Baptist Home in Brooklyn, CT. She was born July 17, 1924 in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (O’Rielly) Campbell. She married Gideon Lisee on August 2, 1941. He died February 2009. Celia was a Killingly High School Graduate and a Communicant of St. James Church in Danielson, CT. Celia devoted herself to the raising and care of her family. She worked for Idle Wild Farm in packaging and then she became a nurse’s aide at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam for 35 years retiring in 2008 at the age of 83, as the oldest paid employee. She leaves her sons, Shawn (Joann) Lisee of Danielson, CT, Kerry (Evelyn) Lisee of St. Petersburg, FL, her daughter Sharon (Leo) Beaudreault of Danielson, CT, her eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Gertrude Lisee, a son Ronald Lisee, two brothers Thomas Campbell and Joseph Campbell, two sisters Gertrude Robitaille and Beryl St. Onge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 7, 2015 at 12:00 PM (Noon) at St. James Church 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT 06239. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson, CT. Calling Hours will be Monday from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT.
