Obituary of Marguerite LeBlanc

Putnam, CT Marguerite LeBlanc, 102, died Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam, CT. She was born on February 16, 1911 in Berlin, NH. The daughter of Jean B. and Valantine (Gagnon) Coulombe. She was one of twelve, seven brothers and four sisters. At the age of 16 she went to work for Brown Co. making paper towels until she married Alfred in 1931. They moved to Old Orchard Beach, ME in 1969. Living a stone's throw away from the beach, they catered to the summer tourists. Marguerite lost her beloved husband in 1988, but continued doing what she liked to do until 1995, when she realized it was time to retire. For a few years she lived back and forth with her girls. For the last three years she retired at Westcott-Wilcox Home, an assisted living facility, where she made a new home and many new friends. She leaves two daughters, Pauline Lemieux of Dayville, CT and Theresa Rivard of Old Orchard Beach, ME. They were blessed with seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Calling hour will be Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High St. Berlin, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM in St. Anne Church, 345 Pleasant St. Berlin, NH. Burial will follow at St. Kieran Cemetery Berlin, NH.
