Obituary of Joseph S. Gomes
Joseph S. Gomes, 90, of Wauregan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born November 11, 1923 in Taunton, MA. Son of Joseph and Virginia (Andrade) Gomes. Joseph was a mechanic his whole life and later in his life delivered meals on wheels with his wife for eight years.
He leaves behind his loving daughters: Joanie Dionne and her husband George of Brooklyn;Norma Dionne and her husband Robert of Killingly, and Virginia Egan. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Gomes and his brother George Gomes.
A Memorial Service will be held November 23,2013 at 11:00 AM at Glory Chapel, 14 Adams Dr. Central Village, CT Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. To share a memory with his family "Light a Candle" at www.gagnonandcostellofh.com
