Obituary of Nellie Mary Piotroski

Nellie Mary (Duszlak) Piotroski aka "Mrs. Wal-Mart", 94 of Brooklyn, died, March 9, 2014 at Day Kimball Hospital. She was born January 6, 1920 in North Grosvenordale, CT, daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (Twardzik) Duszlak. She was married on September 9, 1946 to Joseph Piotroski, he died in 2004. Nellie worked in the former Cluett Peabody Mill and Wauregan Mills. She also worked at Eatmore Restaurant, the Hartford Times, Fisher's Big Wheel and at the Putnam Wal-Mart as a People Greeter. For all those that knew Nellie and how she liked to tell jokes one can only imagine God must be laughing now. The family would like to give a special Thank You to Dr. Fattaleh for the care he showed Nellie. Nellie is survived by her daughters Linda Piotroski of Smyrna, GA and Eileen Piotroski of Woodstock, CT. She was predeceased by her siblings Helen, Catherine, John, Joseph, Edward, Stasia and Stella. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM in St. James Church, 12 Franklin St. Danielson. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson, CT.
