Obituary of Paul L. Blake, Sr.

Paul L. Blake, Sr. 76, of Danielson, died April 10, 2014 at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. He was born December 17, 1937 in Putnam, CT son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Jacques) Blake. On April 30, 1965 he married the love of his life Marie Beaudoin, they were married 48 years. Paul worked for Hale Manufacturing as a foreman and in his later years worked in Maintenance at Day Kimball Hospital. He was a member of the Danielson Elks, The French Club and a VFW Member. He enjoyed gardening, landscaping and fixing lawn mowers for people and friends. Paul loved the ocean and spent 18 years in Mystic fishing, boating and clamming. He leaves his wife Marie Blake, his daughter Paula Coutras, his sons Gerald Blake, Paul Blake, Jr. and his wife Wendy, his grandchildren Heather Coutras, Angie Coutras, Christine Coutras, Nicole Coutras, Michael Kennedy, Catlin Kennedy, Gabriel Blake, Paul Matthew Blake, Christopher Blake, Gennifer Blake and Geoffrey Blake, his great grandchildren Elijah, Layne and Nina, his brothers David Blake, Richard Blake and Gerald Blake. Calling Hours will be Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT.
