Obituary of Carl F. Cayen
Carl F. Cayen, 74, of Danielson, died Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. Born August 8, 1938 in Putnam, son of the late Francis and Jane (Cloutier) Cayen.
He was 1956 graduate of Killingly High, attended University of Rhode Island and graduated from Thames Tech. He worked at Rogers Corporation most of his life and Metals Testing in South Windsor.
He loved music, especially Jazz and Blues. He was an accomplished Sax player and played in local bands, Ernie Briere's Band and the Misty Blues. He was a lifetime member of the Danielson Elks Lodge #1706 and a Brother of Knights of Columbus Council 2883, Danielson.
He leaves his daughters, Carlene Sabourin of Danielson, Christine Credit of Pomfret Center, Carla Cayen-de Jong of Eindhoven, Netherlands, three grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
The Funeral will be Friday at 9:30 AM from the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson.
