She worked at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam for 13 years, much of that time in Maternity where she loved caring for babies and new mothers. From Day Kimball she went on to work as office nurse for many years in the Doctor's offices of Dr. James Nicholson and Dr. Kevin Boucher. She retired in 1995 to her beloved Log Cabin in Thompson where she loved flowers and tinkering in her flower gardens and organizing family gatherings. Her most favorite times were those spent with family at the holidays and vacationing on Prince Edward Island. Her husband and family wish to extend special thanks to the many members of her home care team who's diligent and patient efforts have enabled her to remain at home through the many years of her illness. Thanks also to Sue Antonelli, RN and Hospice of NE CT and Dr. John Day.
