Obituary of June Kay Lefevre

June Kay Lefevre, 83, of Putnam Heights, CT, died July 12, 2014 at the University of Massachussetts Medical Center in Worcester, MA. She was born December 23, 1930 in Putnam, the only daughter of the late Lester C. and Barbara Page.

She was a 1948 graduate of the Putnam High School. In her youth she was active with the 4-H. June worked at American Optical in Putnam, CT and Southbridge, MA for many years. She was a life-long member of the Putnam Baptist Church and the Church Choir. June was involved with many Church activities and Church fundraisers. She was a life-long member of the Putnam Grange, the Irish American Club, Quinebaug Valley Senior Citizens, Putnam Library Board and had worked at the Putnam Polls on election days. Her greatest joy was being with friends and family and dining out. She enjoyed taking care of her home and working in her yard.

She leaves two sons, Craig Lefevre of Preston and Ronald Lefevre of Pomfret Center and her grandson Brian Lefevre of Pomfret Center. She also leaves nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, Lester Page and George Page.

Funeral Service will be Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Putnam Baptist Church, 170 Church Street, Putnam, CT. Calling Hours, Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT. Burial in Putnam Heights Cemetery, Putnam, CT.
