Emilda Plante, 96, of Ashford, formerly of Woodstock and Florida, died on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam. Wife of the late Archie Plante, he died in 1982. She was born June 13, 1918 inBallouville, daughter of Joseph and Donelda (Messier)Cusson. She worked in the area Mills as a textile worker.Emilda enjoyed reading and crocheting. She leaves her daughters Wanda Fabian of Ashford, Barbara Kallini and her husband Adel of Delray Beach, FL, Shirley Kempain of Colorado Springs, CO, grandchildren Paula Salvas, Norma Fabian, Nancy Butts, Christopher Kallini, Jason Kallini, JonathanKallini, Kimberly Sellers and 7 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Oliver Cusson. A calling hour will be from 10:30 to 11:30 am Friday, July 25, 2014 at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm at the St. Joseph Church,350 Hartford Pike, Dayville, CT, burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
