Obituary of Jeannette Millette

Jeannette Millette, 90, of Putnam, CT, died peacefully at Pierce Memorial Baptist Nursing Home at 8pm, Sept. 21, 2014. She was surrounded by close family. She was employed by Day Kimball Hospital for 25 years. Aside from her love of shopping, friends and family, we will always remember her passion for cooking. A plaque in her kitchen said it all, "No matter where I serve my guests, they always like my kitchen best!" She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Oclede Jospeh Millette (Al Millette) and daughter Celeste Marie Millette. Jeannette was the daughter of Noe and Diana DesJardin, Danielson, CT, 6 brothers, all of Danielson, John, wife, Helen, Lucien, wife Josey, Albert, wife, Yvonne, Raymond, wife Teresa, Roger wife Emily, Henry wife, Aura and 2 sisters, Helen and husband Alexander Dauphinas, Warwick, RI, all preceding her in death with the one exception being her beloved sister, Yvette Keonnicke, wife of Frank Keonnicke, Norwich, CT. Jeannette was mother of Carol Mercier, Putnam, CT, Allen Millette, Eastport, Maine, Claudia Millette, Manchester, CT, Priscilla and spouse, Peter Holbrook, Scottsdale, AZ, Dr. Beverly McGuire and spouse, Troy McGuire of Jacksonville, FL and David Millette and spouse, Cindy Millette of Melbourne, FL., 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, September 25, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, 12 Main Street, North Grosvenordale. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Putnam.
