Obituary of Virginia M. Ladd

Virginia M. Ladd, 81, of Danielson, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 19, 1933 in Putnam, CT, daughter of the late Walter and Gladys (Turner) Murphy. She was the wife of Richard A. Ladd, they were married August 29, 1952 in Arlington, VA, he died in 2006. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and loved her trips to the White Mountains in New Hampshire She leaves a son, James Ladd of Danielson; a daughter, Sally McNally and her husband Kenneth of Danielson; one granddaughter, Stacy Barrette and her husband Craig; three grandsons Matthew Ladd, Richard McNally and Jason McNally; two great grandchildren, Alyssa and Thomas; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard A. Ladd and a brother Mark Mills and two sons, Richard and Walter Ladd. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date in High Street Cemetery, Dayville, CT. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Jimmy Fund or the Day Kimball Homemakers.
