Having grown up with the Nilos as family friends, I only found out that Mark was not a baker when I was about 10. Whenever he would leave to go to work, he would say, "Time to make the doughnuts," with a sigh -- and I would laugh. Imagine my confusion when I found out he was a broadcast television executive instead. Wherever you are now, Mark, I hope you're enjoying all of those doughnuts that you made throughout life. My love and friendship to Deb, Sam and Anthony.

Dearest Deb, words can not begin to tell the story of the love between you and Mark. A REAL love story indeed. I am so sorry for your loss and for all of Marks family as well.
I will never forget the way Mark elaborated when he said my name, typical Mark.

I am so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. Mark and his brothers were the gentle giants of the neighborhood, always up to something cool. Their Halloween Haunted House/Garage is a fond memory. Terry, Bobby, Sandi and Doris, you have my deepest sympathies. I can only imagine what a wonderful husband and father he became, and to Deborah, Samantha and Anthony, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I feel blessed to have known Mark and will forever treasure his memory.

Bob,
My prayers go out to you at this difficult time. I know how close you and your brother were. The only thing I can say is Mark’s long struggle is over he is now in the arms of the Lord, a place so much better then we can imagine. He was so courageous and certainly an inspiration to us all. I know his memories will live on forever in your heart memories that will never fade. My prayers are with you keep the faith.
With deepest sympathy,
David

Dear Sandi & Family,
Please accept my deep condolences for the loss of your brother Mark. I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, but if he was anything like you I know I would have loved him. Hearing you speak so fondly of him over the years (especially his wicked sense of humor) gave me a small glimpse into how close you were and how you thought the world of him. May he rest in peace, taking with him the memories of all the love and laughter he generated while he was here.
God bless.
