Dorothy S. Johnston November 17, 1918 — December 14, 2012 Formerly of Putnam, CT, Sandwich, MA and Nantucket, MA- Dorothy S. Johnston passed away peacefully at Pierce Baptist Home in Brooklyn, CT. She was born in New London the youngest of 9 siblings. She is survived by daughter Barbara Woodcock of Nantucket, son Lloyd and Joan of Maine, son Donald and Denise of Putnam and daughter Carolyn and Charles of Willington, grandchildren: Douglass from San Diego, Daniel from Chicago, Sara from Dayville, Alaina from Pawcatuck, Lindsay of Nantucket, Matthew of Ft. Myers, Christopher of Westbrook and 5 great grandchildren She was predeceased by all of her brothers and sisters and her loving husband for 35 years Robert D. Johnston. A service will be celebrated at the Putnam Congregational Church, 175 Main Street, Putnam, CT on Tuesday at 11:00 AM, burial in Grove Street cemetery.
