I just received the 43rd InfIntry Bulletin and saw an 'In Memoriam' for Richard Potter. I have fond memories of the Potter family living on West St. In Middletown when I was young. Patty was a childhood friend and I think of those days often and lost touch. Sorry to hear of your loss.

I remember this kind man who kept in touch with my father after my father's stroke. Mr. Potter wrote to my Dad, brought him mementos, shared Army pictures of their times together and remained a good friend until the end. God bless him.

Mr. Potter, I just saw you on Thanksgiving and gave you a hug. That is how I will always remember you. Thank you for always being so kind to myself and my family. Thank you for being a great father to my amazing sister in law Susan. I am sorry I could not make it to your services but know I pray for you and I hope Heaven is making you as happy as I am knowing you went home to be with God. You will be missed. Kelly Norris

Dick was a long-time member and supporter of the Woodstock Historical Society. He was also an avid and dedicated historian who enthusiastically shared his research. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I offer deepest sympathy to his family on their loss.
