Although the milk deliveries to home have been lost to modern practices I still wake sometimes to the clinking of bottles and smell of bad black truck fumes that were the hallmark of those days. I still have a wire bottle carrier taken from Elliot's home after he died. Those were "cream on the top" times! Anne

Donald was a wonderful neighbor. He will so missed. I will always remember all his stories. He always knew what was going on in town and elsewhere. He loved his newspaper, wife and family. On every visit he would always talk about his wonderful children and all that they were doing. He was so proud of them. His wife, Edith would could clearly see was the love of his life. I would always tell my family that Eddie and Donald were so happy together and I could only hope I will be as happy and loved as they have loved each other. Eddie my prayers are with you and your family. Love Lynn

Dad,
We will miss you deeply. Is it not unfortunate that after the passing we realize that all the criticism, pushes towards perfection and comments to do a job better were your way of showing love to another?
Don mentioned how many times, when working the milk business; he had to try to stay two steps ahead of you at all times. Don was always being pushed to achieve the goals for the day by you. This attribute in you allowed Donald to become a perfectionist in most everything that he does. I would like to thank you, Dutch, for that.
In the sixteen years that I had known you, you had always waited for me to come to the house so that you could hit me with some nonsense piece of information that you knew would rile my dander up. This would cause us to have a "friendly" discussion about the subject you chose to approach me with. There were times when I had to leave quickly, but later realized you had gotten the best of me. These interactions with you, as feisty as they may have been, helped me to appreciate other people's opinions more.
Thanks Dutch!
Love Ya and God Bless,
Flo
